Salestar provides IT systems to Sigma’s dealers
|
Software solution company Salestar Connect has pushed into the Irish market by securing a ‘six figure’ deal with Ireland’s largest distributor, Sigma Telecom.
The move to Ireland is the first step in its plans to grow and move overseas where there are strong telecoms markets.
The deal will see Salestar provide IT systems to Sigma’s top dealers.
Sigma has over 100 dealers and has a high street presence in 50 Meteor stores and 23 retail franchise stores.
The two companies worked together on a six month trial before it was rolled out to eight premier partners. The plan is to roll out the system to up to 35 of the top dealers before Christmas.
The initial reaction from the Irish dealers has been positive and Salestar Connect’s chief information officer, Deen Ossman, is keen to continue building a similar client base.
Ossman said: ‘Sigma is very keen and interested to ensure that their dealers flourish. They want to make certain that they are proficient in their approach.’
As part of the process to secure the deal, Salestar held a two day workshop for the executive management team, members of Meteor and dealers. They then came over to the UK to see the system being used in a live environment.
Salestar Connect has changed its products through a ‘bottom up’ process of development and the company now offers web based solutions for its clients, with tailor made packages for distributors and dealers.
In the UK, Salestar Connect’s clients include Data Select, Elite and Fonehouse.

salestar™ launches new revenue share
May 2009
|
salestar™ connect celebrates its 3rd year anniversary of its specialist B2B software solution by providing another first to the market place a tool to handle the very complex revenue share model
salestar™ connect B2B software solution, has been a resounding success since its launch 3 years ago. “We have always felt that generic software would never meet the many demands that B2B dealers put on their operating system and that only a specialist system designed solely for B2B operation would be able to meet all their requirements,” explains salestar™ connect’s Chief Solutions Officer Deen Ossman. “I am delighted to announce that demand for our products has exceeded expectation and many preeminent clients have expressed their great satisfaction with our software. Our commitment to quality is reflected in the fact that we enhance our software every quarter, ensuing that we are one step ahead of the game at all times.”
In line with this they have delivered to market a first this May an absolutely unique feature incorporation of the new revenue share schemes introduced by the O2, Orange and T-mobile networks. “Users don’t have to waste lots of time and pay staff working out the intricacies of the new schemes to find out what commissions have been paid, what is outstanding and resolve any discrepancies as our software solution deals with that,” notes Deen Ossman. “We believe salestar™ connect is an indispensable tool for those seeking to process network commissions under the new revenue share schemes as quickly and as accurately as possible.”

Customers were clearly enthused about salestar’s many advanced features: among the many clients salestar™ has gained are major players such as Elite, Moco, Fonehouse, Phonebox and DWD Mobiles.
Simon Lacey, MD of DWD Mobiles clearly understands the benefits salestar offers to small B2B dealers. “In these tough economic times, businesses are looking at costs in all areas,” he explains. ‘It is imperative for us to be able to reduce overheads without compromising the quality of the service we offer, and salestar connect has enabled us do this by automating the processes that would have normally taken us many man hours – these can be re-invested in marketing and customer care.”
Mid sized businesses also benefited greatly from salestar connect. “This new software has added a new dimension to our business,” says Phonebox MD Nigel Harrison. “We have recently acquired another business and salestar’s unique workflow management system has enabled us to greatly reduce the paperwork involved and drastically improve efficiency in a number of areas. For example seamless sales order processing and fulfillment of multi connection hand set deals, have enabled us to enjoy significant time savings while greatly reducing administrative work.’’
Perhaps, Phil Long, IT & Systems Manager for distributor MoCo Communications Ltd, summarised the overall viewpoint best. “Coming from a dealer background, I can confirm that all B2B or B2C mobile phone dealers big or small that wants to maintain a business edge need’s a specialists software solution like salestar, The key to success in the current economic climate is to keep track of your profit and cash flow and with salestar solutions providing controls over the sales ledger, network commission payments, IMEIs, Kit funds, Cash Backs, renewals etc it makes good business sense to opt for this software solution
