Programus bucks the trend once again. |

Despite the global economic meltdown, Programus has succeeded in adding many new client accounts and increased their work force in the last 12 months, necessitating further changes for the global market leader that provides state of the art software solutions to two very lucrative global niche markets - the telecom and event and venue industries respectively.
The Sri Lankan operation grew from the humble beginnings from a box sized office behind the cricket shop to a very sophisticated boutique software powerhouse ready to shake the mobile phone and hospitality management industries.
Following the strategic realignment of the workforce into 3 teams, Programus’ corporate and international sales and front office support office has now moved to a world class new office complex in Chiswick, London that is better able to meet the demands of their rapidly expanding business. “Although the primary reason for the move is the splitting of our employees to serve our client’s and shareholders better, the new location has the added benefit of being strategically located close to Heathrow Airport facilitating easy access for our international clients, while close proximity to major UK motorways ensures that we are easy to reach by road,” notes the Chief Solutions officer, Deen Ossman. The new office also offers the advantage of being accessible without having to deal with the infamous congestion of central London, although it remains conveniently situated just 15- 20 minutes from it. |

The new premises come with state of the art infrastructure and facilities, including more meeting rooms, enabling the Programus team to better serve the many clients who visit from throughout the UK and around the world. The health and wellbeing of the staff is also well catered for with access to healthy meals served by the in house cafeteria and to a gym and health facilities. “The new office forms the ideal launching pad for our future plans for growth,” says Chairman Michael Anselm, adding, “However, our R&D and back office will continue to be located in Sri Lanka and is about to go though a complete refurbishment program while Programus will still function from Silverstone as it serves as a good hub to support our primary market - the UK. “ |

Mainline, a subsidiary of Orange, had already provided the salestar™ solution to their branded franchisees. The free advertisement was a result of their recommendation of the salestar™ software to the wider dealership, a great endorsement of the many benefits provided by salestar™ connect to mobile phone businesses.

Summer fiesta:salestar and elite meet for day of cricket |

There can be no better way of spending a beautiful summer’s day than a game of cricket. As a welcome respite from all the hard work we have been putting in rolling out our new software to the market, and in the spirit of camaraderie, a friendly match was organised between salestar™ connect and one of our esteemed clients, Elite. The event took place on the 15th of June at the Roehampton playing grounds. Both companies fielded their best players for what turned out to be an enthusiastic and close game that was eventually won by the salestar team. The teams also enjoyed a lunch of rice and hoppers, adding a quintessentially Sri Lankan touch to the day’s proceedings. |

marketing team spearheads salestar™ connect's efforts |

Following the very promising initial launch of salestar™ connect, a new marketing team has come on board as the company prepares for rapid expansion in the UK and internationally. The team will be headed by Suresh, who hails from an advertising background followed by a stint in business journalism. Having worked on international brands such as Coca Cola and American Express, he is excited about the many opportunities offered by the salestar™ connect solution. Taking care of the visual side of things will be Chamika who has considerable experience as a web developer and graphics designer. Together, they look forward to the challenge of bringing the unique business benefits of salestar™ connect software to new clients and new markets.
