Microline makes 100 fastest growing
Dec 2005

salestar connect customer, Microline, has made the prestigious Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fastrack 100 fastest growing company in Britain . Microline is ranked 18th and has seen sales grow by over 110% each year since 2001. In 2004 Microline sold over 6000 contracts a month and sales nearly reached £10 million.

The managing director, Jaz Singh, puts much of his success down to the implementation of computation. He credits salestar for streamlining his work making the whole business more efficient and profitable. salestar allows him to realise where his profits are, and using tools within salestar™, analyse where his profits are coming from.

Focussing on these profit areas is only one of the driving forces behind his recent success. Daily conference calls between sites and head office bring all customer complaints to the surface. Microline's customer service has continued to strengthen and has lead many new clients to them through recommendation.

An aggressive sales strategy has played an equally integral part in the creation of Microline's recent successful growth. Also in these conference calls sales are scrutinised on a daily basis and checked against daily targets. This allows network targets to be met and as a result extra rewards received.

Microline is now a very well oiled machine. More staff have been brought in to customer services, to the sales teams, and towards a team that checks commissions are correctly paid from networks. Overall between 2005 and 2006 Microline has increased its staff to over a 55 person strong team.

salestar connect would like to express their congratulations to Jaz and his team for this great achievement.

'Free' software in distie deal
Nov 2005

Our excellent subsidy deal has been featured in the recent issue of Mobile magazine. Below is the extract of the article.

'Free' software in distie deal Retail system deal if you spend on extras

salestar connect, the retail management software company, has started offering dealers free use of its salestar™ and FoneMan software in return for ordering products from selected suppliers.

Dealers using salestar preferred suppliers - currently of mobile accessories, phone insurance and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) - will receive discounts of the cost of the software, which could total enough to enable dealers to use it for free. Suppliers include YKW Cellular and Fonesure.

salestar connect chief Deen Ossman (right) told Mobile that he intends to expand the range of suppliers to increase choice for his customers.

'I want to tell the independent mobile dealers, You can use the software for free now,' he said. 'I'm trying to receive independent dealers and breathe life into them and we're telling distributors we will mange the process for them.'

The salestar and FoneMan software enables dealer store staff to capture customer details for connections and upgrades on a single database, track IMEI and phone numbers and reconcile commissions form networks.

salestar connect claims to have over 3,000 users of its software and to supply up to 85% of independent mobile retailers with ten or more stores: this year it started targeting smaller retailers.

salestar connect is having a busy month and is being featured another issue of Mobile.

Indie dealers need help against operators and multiples DealerTron's mission is to revive independent dealer chains by freeing them from the operators' and distributors' systems and their own lame spreadsheets. DealerTron wants to free their EPOS systems from the tyranny and let them decide their own futures. And he's busy writing the code behind the World Cup's hospitality system.
